Established in 2009, Andini Agro Loka is a modern, professionally-run integrated cattle fattening and breeding firm (feedlot) located in the village of Bandar Putih Tua, Central Lampung, on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Andini Agro Loka’s core values and philosophy is reflected on the name of the company itself, which derived from Sanskrit “Nandini”—a wish-granting cow in Hindu mythology; Greek “Agro” denoting agriculture, and Sanskrit “Loka” in reference to world. Taken together, Andini Agro Loka embodies our vision for an integrated farm which combine agriculture and cattle farming where each entity supports each other in a self-sustaining system, for the long-term benefit of both nature and society.

One area where show great concern for is animal welfare. Apart from compliance to Australian animal welfare standard and audit requirement, we also believe that improving animal welfare makes business sense, as healthy cattle increases profitability and production efficiencies. It starts with the construction of sheds. Currently, we have three 366-meter-long sheds, with the potential for future expansion as we continue to grow. Our sheds are carefully designed to take advantage of the natural air flow and particular elevation for ease of cleaning to ensure the prevention of disease and maintenance of good animal health. Additionally, to ensure a balanced and healthy diet, we have been using mechanized precision feed mixers. All these have resulted in the quality of meat which is smooth, tender and fine textured with bright red coloration.
