We always see ourselves as an inseparable part of the local community where we operate. Thus, we feel that we also have the moral obligation to improve the well-being of local people. Besides employing them as office staff and farm laborers, we have also provided the local farmer groups with fertile cattle stock for them to raise and breed. The male offspring can then be sold back to us and the female one redistributed to a different group.

We have also opened up our farm to be used as a kind of “living laboratory” for students from the local university to conduct research and some of our people regularly visit the university to give lecture and share knowledge. These kinds of positive community engagement has created a sense of respect and belonging on both sides, which in turn will contribute to the company’s sustainability in the future.
